Luteinizing Hormone (LH)

Also called lutropin. Hormone produced in the pituitary gland that controls the menstrual cycle and testosterone production. In women, LH determines how long a menstrual and ovulation cycle will last and stimulates egg growth. In men, LH helps produce testosterone in the testes.
